6th Grade

8th Grade

Art (5-8)
MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED (LABEL ALL ITEMS)
All supplies must be brought in within 5 days of the first class.
If you already have these items at home, please do not go out to purchase new ones.
GENERIC BRANDS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED since they are not usually of equal quality to brand named products. Office Max and Walmart usually have a good supply of brand name supplies, such as CRAYOLA or PRANG.
MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED (LABEL ALL ITEMS)If you misplace your supplies you must replace them in order to be prepared for class.
ALL ITEMS ARE TO BE KEPT IN LOCKER UNTIL NEEDED FOR A SPECIFIC PROJECT—you will be given advanced notice.
****GRADE 8 – YOU WILL NEED AT LEAST (5) PAPER TOWEL/TENNIS BALL TUBES
- POSTER BOARD (standard size- 22”X 28”- to be folded in half and used as a folder for projects)
- STURDY POUCH for carrying supplies
- No.2 PENCILS (at least 2 with you for each class)
- CRAYONS [Box of 24 or larger (CRAYOLA or PRANG)]
- WATERCOLOR PAINT SET with brush* (CRAYOLA or PRANG)
- LARGE ERASER (vinyl erasers cause the least amount of damage to the paper)
- CRAYOLA MARKERS
- COLORED PENCILS (PLEASE, No Erasable)
- SKETCHBOOK (9” x 12” is a good size for carrying and storing in your locker)
- SCISSORS (small, rounded points)
- NEWSPAPERS (NO ADS)
- RULER
- BUTCHER’S STYLE APRON or LARGE SHIRT (Sculpture and Drawing /Painting especially)
* If you wish to use a variety of brushes, Sable or Camel hair brushes are often sold
in packages of 3 or 4 (assorted sizes) at office supply or in craft stores for around $5.00.
