About Last Year’s Gala
On Saturday, March 5th at 7:00pm CBA held its’ second annual Purple & Gold Gala at the Taste Penthouse in downtown Albany. Over 300 people attended this silent and live auction which is one of CBA’s biggest fundraising events.
A highlight of the evening was the live auction emceed by parent Thomas McCormick. The live auction ended with a lively bidding war for the services of Taste Executive Chef Paul Ozimek, a CBA Alumni. Chef Paul offered his services to plan a menu with wine pairing and cook at a home party. Chef Paul’s services went for $2,000 at which time another person offered to match that bid if the Chef would be willing to offer the same service at their home party. Chef Paul and Taste graciously agreed and raised $4,000 on his auction item alone.
CBA’s event raised $70,000 for the school!
