Thank you for your interest in Christian Brothers Academy. This is a time of great excitement and promise here at Christian Brothers Academy. Now located on our new campus in Colonie, this new facility has proven to be the revitalization and energy that will lead our students and faculty well into the 21st century. The mission of the Christian Brothers and the proud tradition of excellence since 1859 will be fostered for generations to come.
Christian Brothers Academy has much to offer the young men of the Capital District area. The mission of the Christian Brothers is as strong today as it was back in 1859: to instill Christian values and to provide a demanding academic program within the Lasallian tradition. CBA is committed to meeting the needs of the individual, to develop his full potential and to guide him toward a role as a contributing member of society.
This is accomplished through an outstanding academic program that can boast of a 100% college acceptance rate since 1980. Our academic program offers Regents-based courses including an Honors program and an extensive number of Advanced Placement courses for college credit. Our school facility offers state-of-the-art fiber-optic wiring linked in every classroom, modern science labs, an athletic program that competes at the highest level of competition under the guidelines of Section 2 and New York State. CBA also offers a wide range of extracurricular activities established to meet the interests of our students.
Christian Brothers Academy is also the only Catholic high school in the area to offer a JROTC program which has obtained the highest ranking from the United States Department of the Army, "Honor Unit With Distinction."
School Visits: The best way for a student to experience CBA is to come and spend a school day visiting classes, meeting our faculty and students and going through a normal school day. A school visit is the best way for a student to find out if CBA is the right school for him. Lunch will be provide by the school in our cafeteria. Students entering grades 6 through 11 should contact Arthur F. Smith '63, Director of Admissions, at 518-452-9809 ext. 110.
