CBA has two chapters of the National Honor Society (NHS). Members of the St. Miguel Chapter are in grades 10-12. The St. Benilde Chapter is for grades 6-9 and operates under the auspices of the National Junior Honor Society. In order for a student to be accepted for membership, he must have a cumulative academic average of 90 with no grade in any subject below an 85. In addition, he is evaluated on character, leadership, service and citizenship. Members attend monthly meetings and are involved in service not only within the school but outside in the community. There are two group projects which involve all members of both chapters. The fall project is the Adopt-a-Family Program. This is a program run by members of the NHS and involves the entire CBA community. This year 43 needy children from the City of Albany were adopted and received everything from underwear and socks to winter jackets and blankets. The spring project will involve hosting a dance-a-thon to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that supports wounded veterans. In addition to tutoring and being guides at Open House, members of the Society host two very successful Red Cross Blood drives each year. They have continuously had one of the highest numbers of donors per capita for schools in the Capital District. The JNHS will conduct a Pennies for the Lymphoma Society fundraiser in January.

On October 25, 2007, the National Honor Society of CBA held its 2007 Induction Ceremony in which the elected officers were installed and 37 new students were welcomed as members.
